Knowing that I was getting press, I was ready to take it to the next level. The earlier rituals, I had no focus, no clue where this was headed. My friend from Pennsylvania told me to create a troupe and I agreed. So I called the only other person I knew in NY who likes performing. Her name was Marissa and she practiced the fine art of mime. I told her about the project and by my surprise she was really into the whole idea, because she was able to see the vision too. When you work with people you feel more motivated.
So immediately, I took a Panorama of the entire stage of Bedford Ave., and made two copies, one for me and one for Marissa, it took me the entire day to work on. Here is a digital copy:
SECTION BEFORE N. 5TH ST:
EASTSIDE
WESTSIDE

SECTION BTWN N. 5TH ST. AND N. 6TH ST.:
EASTSIDE

WESTSIDE

SECTION BTWN N. 6TH ST. AND N. 7TH ST.:
EASTSIDE
WESTSIDE

SECTION AFTER N. 7TH ST.:
EASTSIDE

WESTSIDE
As you can see I divided it into four sections. The stage was between 5th N. and 7th N.
So me and Marrissa met on a Wednesday and created an outline of the entire show. First we picked a theme like Alice and Wonderland. We would go from each point on the visual map and do something, a scene, some form of interaction with the people or a song to dance to. I marked on the map potential stages. On one stage we’d outline people with chalk, on another stage we sold useless things, we sang silly songs, it was a lot of fun.
We met one Wednesday to talk about themes:
Here is a prop list and outline of our first show:

After the performance we received a free muffin and green tea from a friendly worker, we sat and quickly talked about it and then we danced one hour straight non-stop to eighties tunes at 7 N. and Bedford Ave.
The strangest thing happened, we started to gather a crowd of twenty people and not only that, Sarah Mayti and Arin Crummley saw us dancing and joined us for thirty more minutes. It was strange, people kept watching, filming, and we made twenty dollars. If anybody has any footage of this, please send me the link.
Afterwards we all came back to Sarah’s and actually started brainstorming some ideas:
Sarah was in for the next project.
