Paige Harwood, from Atlanta, Georgia wrote me a beautiful song to dance to in NYC at Union Square. She actually gets my message. I feel very connected to the lyrics of this song. She based it off of two of my short films. “Souls Unite” and “Syntax Error 35″. I had fun making this, thank you Paige for collaborating with me.
Syntax error 35, this frantic brain is getting fried
It repeats it repeats it repeats
Hello there brain, is it too much to ask for you to stay sane
So I can keep everything organized and neat
I dont dance, play games, or sing songs, I dont even quietly hum along
I walk on by to everyone elses beat
But cant you tell Im living a lie, Im really dying on the inside
For someone to come over to me and say
Hey stranger Wacka wacka
Hey stranger Dance with me
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Hey lets be silly
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Hey stranger you and me
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Wont you let your heart be free?
Souls unite the light is bright
The light is love, and love is everywhere
You may feel alone, or far from home
But dont despair theres always someone there
Someone to shout out nonsense with you
Someone to be silly with you too
So grab their hand and you will understand
That the light is love and love is everywhere
Hey stranger Wacka wacka
Hey stranger Dance with me
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Hey lets be silly
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Hey stranger you and me
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Wont you let your heart be free?
Its the man in the white dress, he saves souls from duress
And is generally a nice guy
He makes films and street performs, all while battling social norms
everything without batting an eye
what a wonderfully silly man making a wonderfully silly stand
against a boring mundane life
hero of the human condition, trying to make everyone listen
as he shouts hands pointed to the sky
Hey stranger Wacka wacka
Hey stranger Dance with me
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Hey lets be silly
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Hey stranger you and me
Hey stranger wacka wacka
Wont you let your heart be free?
Itchy love, Itchy itch itch………. When CAN it just be a sane thing? Is it ever a sane thing? My guess, sometimes it’s a sane thing. The key word is SOMETIMES. - Matthew Silver
